بالتعاون مع شركة بريثونيكس التابعة لجامعة سنغافورة الوطنية
تجري جامعة محمد بن راشد للطب والعلوم الصحية (MBRU)، وهيئة الصحة بدبي، تحارب سريرية مشتركة مع شركة بريثونيكس Breathonix Pte، لتقييم دقة اختبار التنفس سهل الاستخدام للكشف عن وباء كوفيد-19 خلال دقيقة واحدة.
ووفقاً لبيان تم تجربة الاختبار السريع، الذي طورته شركة بريثونيكس التابعة لجامعة سنغافورة الوطنية، على 2500 مريض.
بدورها، قالت شركة بريثونيكس، إن برنامج التعلم الآلي سيحلل عينة من التنفس ويولد النتيجة في أقل من دقيقة، وأضاف البيان أن شركة بريثونيكس أجرت سابقاً دراسة تجريبية في سنغافورة شملت 180 مريضاً، وحققت حساسية بنسبة 93% وخصوصية 95% باستخدام خوارزمية التعلم الآلي، وفقاً لما ذكرته “بلومبيرغ”
وتجرى التجارب في مركز ند الحمر للرعاية الصحية الأولية التابع لهيئة الصحة بدبي على 2500 مريض.
من جانبه، قال مدير قسم علم الأمراض والوراثة في هيئة الصحة بدبي، الدكتور حسين الصمت: “تعاونا مع المعاهد الوطنية والدولية في مجال البحث والابتكار، خاصة بالنسبة لوباء كورونا لتنفيذ تقنيات رائدة، والتي يمكن أن تحسن التشخيص والرعاية بشكل كبير لمرضى كوفيد-19، هذه التكنولوجيا بالتأكيد واعدة للغاية خاصة لأن سرعة التشخيص لا تتجاوز 60 ثانية لكل مريض. هذا النوع من التشخيص السريع لديه القدرة على تغيير قواعد اللعبة في المعركة العالمية ضد الوباء”.
بدورها، قالت مديرة قطاع ند الحمر للرعاية الصحية الأولية في هيئة الصحة بدبي، الدكتورة ندى الملا: “إذا تمت الموافقة عليها وتنفيذها ستقلل هذه التكنولوجيا بشكل كبير من العبء على المعالجة المخبرية. سيؤدي ذلك إلى تقليل الوقت المستغرق للحصول على النتائج بشكل كبير مقارنة بطرق الاختبار المتاحة حالياً مثل اختبار تفاعل البوليميراز المتسلسل (PCR).
ووفقاً للبيان، فإن التكنولوجيا الجديدة سهلة الاستخدام، حيث تتطلب فقط أن ينفخ الشخص فقط في قطعة سهلة الاستبدال متصلة بأخذ عينات تنفس عالي الدقة.
فيما قال الشريك المؤسس والرئيس التنفيذي لشركة بريثونيكس، الدكتور جيا زونان: “تعمل التقنية الجديدة عن طريق الكشف عن المركبات العضوية المتطايرة (VOCs) الموجودة في نفس الزفير للشخص”.
